Proudly supporting deployed service members since 1995.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I would like to start supporting military members deployed overseas. What can I do to help?

A: We have spent many thousands of hours since our inception creating and simplifying support ideas and putting together events that assist Americans with military support. If you would like to use and or publish our info or ideas please contact us first and let us know your intentions. We will be happy to help but want to make sure your information is correct. We will also appreciate a link back or credit. We will also link you on our sites. Though we promote educating others to do military support, we find it disheartening to find other websites who have taken our ideas and have adopted whole or partial ideas as their own especially if its conceived wrongly and leads to misinforming others or poses security issues for our military.

Be aware of fly by night support sites! They are support websites that crop up with good intentions after a tragedy or while our country faces a crisis. They usually do not last past the crisis and have little or no knowledgeable experience. We appreciate everyone's eagerness to support the Military but there are specific rules and regulations that must be obeyed and followed to ensure everyone's safety. These rules can change frequently due to changing times.
Thank you.

Q: What do you need from me so I can help in your efforts?

A: How we work We need your name, complete address and email in order to send you an address. The addresses we receive have been given to us by those who would like to receive mail. We are keeping track of all of our addresses we send out. Please request through our email

Feel free to begin your projects in the meantime. We do not give out more than 4 addresses for one request. We utilize personal service member addresses from our Operation Military Pride database. These addresses are collected through our projects and are given based on our reputation. Please treat this address as if it were your own. Please do not forward to others or publish these addresses on the internet or in public.

Q: What should I write about/What can I ask about?

A: Respect the military's privacy by not asking questions they cannot answer. Keep things light and be sure to thank them. They may write back but not tell you where they are stationed. Please respect their work and remember where they are and what they are doing. They like to hear what's going on back home. Your personal confidentiality is up to you. Please do not give out personal information. Operation Military Pride do not accept any responsibility for any wrong doing if you have willingly given information.

Send in your responses and please let us know if you get a neat responses directly. We love to hear about the success of our projects.

Q: Can children or teens participate in your program?

A: Kids should ask permission of an adult (parent or teacher) to participate in our programs, We haven't had any problems in the past and prefer not to start. We cannot guarantee responses and we recommend that parents and teachers read responses received before presenting them to kids. If you do receive an inappropriate response please let us know. We hope everyone involved in our projects will act responsibly.

OUR BIGGEST REQUESTs PLEASE DO NOT POST THE APO/FPO MILITARY ADDRESSES WE SEND YOU ON WEB BULLETIN BOARDS OR ONLINE DIRECTLY. PLEASE HAVE PEOPLE CONTACT US FOR ADDRESSES SO WE CAN KEEP TRACK OF WHO IS PARTICIPATING. TIMES ARE UNPREDICTABLE AND WE WANT TO PROTECT EVERYONE INVOLVED IN OUR PROGRAM.

Treat the address as if it were your own! Would you like a letter from a terrorist?
Remember: No Guarantees You may not get an instant response or some may not hear at all. It takes several weeks for mail to reach them sometimes and returned. Please explain to the kids participating that they are making a difference and someone somewhere is appreciative of their time and energy even though they may not hear back. Don't get discouraged! We are making an impact! Sometimes mail misses the service member at the address given. We are sorry if this occurs. Unfortunately they do not forward mail to the service member and it might be returned to you. Please contact us and let us know and we can provide another contact.

If you have any doubts after reading our faqs Please do not participate in our programs. Emailing us for an address tells us that you realize and understand and will abide by our rules.
We are not looking to debate political issues or want to hear your negative views of my military. If you want to express them please go elsewhere and don't waste our time. We are only seeking caring patriotic Americans who want to support our military members. We do not wish our service members harm by promoting war but we sometimes we must defend ourselves and our country and we will be there to support those who do.
Lastly THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING the greatest military in the world!!
